Andy Schenck

Software Product Developer. Technical Product Leader. Full-Stack .NET Developer.

I design, build and run production software products end to end. That covers product definition, architecture, data model, APIs, interface, integrations, deployment, and every release after launch. Three of those products are in production today, built with an AI-assisted workflow: I direct Claude Code and ChatGPT, and I own the architecture and every decision that ships.
In fact, I built this entire website in less than a day with ChatGPT and Claude Code, and I maintain it myself.

Selected work

Three products I designed, built and run

A multi-tenant SaaS platform, an invitation-only sports application and a public consumer app. For each one, I made the product decisions, designed the schema, built the APIs and interfaces, and handle deployment and production operations.

SaaS League Management Platform Production

The Pool League Manager

League-management web app covering the full season: a multi-step season builder, round-robin scheduling, scoring, standings and seeded playoffs. It feels like a native app on a phone but runs in the browser, with nothing to download. With two-way Twilio SMS, players can also get their schedule, standings and playoffs and answer match reminders by text.

NFL Survivor Pool Platform Private Production Application

Cartier Suicide Pool

Invitation-only NFL survivor pool that runs itself once the season starts. Deadlines are enforced, scores finalized, entries graded and reminders sent automatically for hundreds of entries, with no admin intervention. Each team can be used only once per entry.

Consumer Web Application Publicly Available

Random Prize Wheel

Public random-selection app with a custom browser-based 3D prize-drum engine. Features include one-click Quick Wheels such as a weighted Money Wheel, dice and coin flips, plus image panels, weighting and multi-wheel layouts with Spin All. It runs on an ASP.NET Core 8 API with Entity Framework Core and SQL Server.

Beyond software

Creative technology

Work outside my usual .NET stack: picking up new categories of tools and taking them all the way to a finished, published result.

Creative Technology · AI Media Production Published

Neon Streak Animation Studio

25 original musical learning videos for children, produced with AI image generation, Kling AI animation and CapCut editing. I built a repeatable workflow that keeps generated characters and scenes consistent from shot to shot and episode to episode.

Capabilities

What I bring to a product team

Engineering depth and product ownership in the same person: I can decide what should be built, then build it properly.

  • Full-stack application development

C# and ASP.NET Core on the server, with React and TypeScript, Razor or plain JavaScript in the browser, chosen to fit the product.

  • Product architecture

Splitting a product into web apps, APIs, services and jobs that can each change without breaking the others.

  • REST APIs

Clear, documented endpoints with Swagger/OpenAPI, consumed by SPAs, MVC front ends and mobile layouts.

  • Relational database design

SQL Server schemas that model the real domain: seasons and playoffs, entries and picks, wheels and layouts.

  • Business logic & workflow automation

Encoding rules such as eligibility, deadlines, scheduling and grading so they are enforced consistently.

  • Background processing

Hangfire recurring jobs for score finalization, odds sync, reminders and scheduled operations.

  • Communications

Twilio SMS with consent and opt-out handling, plus email through MailKit/SMTP and SendGrid, with delivery tracking.

  • Third-party integrations

Sports data, betting odds, payments, Microsoft Graph and point-of-sale systems, connected reliably.

  • Responsive UX

Interfaces designed for both a phone at a pool table and an administrator at a desk.

  • AI-assisted development

Directing Claude Code and ChatGPT across architecture, implementation, debugging, refactoring and feature work, with my own review on everything that ships.

  • Product strategy

Deciding what to build, for whom and in what order, then shipping it and keeping it running.

  • Deployment & CI/CD

Azure and Azure DevOps pipelines in team settings, plus IIS and Web Deploy for independent products.

How I work

From idea to operating product

  1. 01

    Define

Who the product is for, what problem it solves, and what the first useful version must do.

  2. 02

    Model

The domain, rules and data model come first, because everything else is built on them.

  3. 03

    Build

APIs, business logic, interfaces and integrations, accelerated with Claude Code and ChatGPT, and tested where the rules are subtle.

  4. 04

    Ship

Deployment, configuration, monitoring and the background jobs that keep things running.

  5. 05

    Operate

Real users, real support and a prioritized backlog: the product keeps improving after launch.

I'd be glad to talk about what you're building and how I can help.
